At the message board of Matt Hardy's website, www.thematthardy.com, there have been several posts adding details to the break-up of Matt Hardy and Amy "Lita" Dumas. Matt made his relationship with Amy public when he wrote about it in his autobiography. He is now going public with some details of their break-up... POST FROM FRIEND OF MATT HARDY Dear Friends: Let me get a few facts out of the way: Matt Hardy & Amy "Lita" Dumas are no longer a couple. Matt was forced to end the relationship. It has come to my attention that a growing number of participants in this message board are "blaming" Matt for various "rumors" and more. I want to shed a little more light on the situation. This may be upsetting for some of you, but the truth tends to hurt. I have known Matt Hardy for almost 10 years. He is truly my brother. He is a loving person, loyal friend, and he has always done the right thing in every aspect of his life. I had never known Matt to be more in love with someone than he was wih Amy. He would have gladly given his life for Amy. Amy Dumas lied to Matt. Amy broke Matt's trust. While Matt told me this story of lies and deceit, I heard so much pain and anguish in his voice that it brought me to tears. I am still shocked and saddened at the pain that Matt has been caused by all of this. What is even more heartbreaking is the other man that precipitated the lies was supposedly one of Matt's better friends. Amy is not the only one who is guilty of lies and breaking trust. I just wanted all of you to know that Matt Hardy is 1000% in the right in all of this, and I would have never believed that that Amy Dumas would have been capable of the doing this to Matt after all he has sacrificed for her. This past week Matt Hardy confirmed on his personal website's messageboard that he has in fact broken up with Amy Dumas (Lita) and that reports are true that Lita has been cheating on him. What wasn't posted on Matt's site is that the person Lita was cheating on him with is actually a close friend of Matt's and a fellow WWE superstar. That superstar is EDGE. We have confirmation that Edge, who himself was recently married, has been having an affair on the road with Lita and that it was Edge's wife that contacted Matt Hardy directly about the situation.
Insider sources tell us that WWE management is extremely angry at Edge over what they consider the height of improper conduct among their employees. Edge and Matt Hardy have been close friends for several years, as both The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian broke into the company together and made eachothers' careers during their series of high-risk stipulation matches (inclding the innovative TLC matches) over the WWE Tag Team Championships. There is a feeling backstage that Edge's behavior with Lita is a politically crippling move that has the potential to seriously threaten his career.
Matt Hardy is currently on the sidelines with an injury but will be returning to the road on March 19th. With both Matt and Edge currently on the RAW roster, things should get pretty interesting backstage.

There are a few things you don't do in this business, and Edge broke it. Lita is equally at fault as well. Matt Hardy has pretty much been very supportive of Amy Dumas. This is just something you don't do to your boyfriend, when you do that to someone who has been in a relationship for the past 4 years it is just wrong.
Trust me, I have been cheated on from one of my ex before and it isn't a good feeling. Several of you who are very close to me knows about this. In Matt Hardy's case that's even worst. You are a married man, and you go out and cheat on your wife with one of your best friend's girlfriend. Man I am sorry but this is just wrong.
If this happens to me, I personally won't blame it on the guy, but it seemed like this has been happening not just on one occassion, that means it is not a "mistake", so in this case it is different. If I were Matt Hardy, I would probably hate Lita for the rest of my life, and most likely beat the crap out of Adam Copeland with any chance I can.
But in all honesty though, Lita should be the one that gets beat, because she did the unthinkable, too bad it is a crime to beat a woman. Because Lita crossed the line on this one.
Looking back, I should've booed Edge even more during that Street Fight and the House Show Match last Sunday and Monday, since I was in attendence.

I've always thought Edge was a prick and this proves it beyond question. The whole scenario seems like a WWE storyline that's sadly (for Matt anyway) all too real.

Let's first start off by saying that Matt Hardy has given me permission to post this thread concerning the situation between himself and Amy (Lita).
For those who do not know me and even for those who do, I do not make alot of posts, nor do I like rumors and gossip. I have been very upset by the threads and posts I have read here about the situation at hand. I will tell you what Matt has told me. I will not go into every detail, but you will understand what has happened. First and Formost, I have nothing personally against Amy, she has always been nice and respectful to me.
As we all know Amy broke her neck and was out for 16 months. During this time Matt being on the road had nothing on his mind but getting home to take care of Amy. Matt has a very large fan base, and I have been to several shows, I have heard what fans says about The Hardys and other Wrestlers and what they would like to do to, or with them, but Matt caring only for Amy was very supportive while Amy was at home re-habing and getting ready to come back to the WWE. Matt never compromised Amy's integrity, but as he stated to me, all he wanted to do was get home to his girl.
The Kane, Matt , Lita and baby saga ended with Matt having to have knee surgery. Matt had his surgery at the end of August 2004. Amy was back with the WWE and things seemed to be going fine. September 2004 Adam Copeland (EDGE) was getting married for the second time. Matt, Amy, Jeff and Beth all attended the wedding. Jeff Hardy told me he remembered sitting at the wedding and seeing Matt and Amy in front of him and he looks back now and can't believe that this has happened to them, as Jeff told me "I thought they would always be together".
If you remember December 5th was the night Amy won the Womens Championship from Trish in Charlotte, ( Matts dad and myself attended that show) I remember the bump Amy took when she jumped out of the ring onto trish and I though she had re-injured her neck again. On our way home, I called Matt to see if Amy was ok, and he told me that she was real sore and would be ok, I even talked to him the next day to check on her status. Then in January 2005 a rematch for the title, Amy and Trish wrestled again and this is when Amy hurt her knee. Amy was on her way to Birmingham Alabama to have her knee surgery and Matt was driving to meet with her, concerned and had nothing but Amy on his mind, because she was having the same surgery he had just undergone himself. While in transit to see Amy, Matt received a phone call from Edge's wife wanting to know why Edge and Amy were calling each other several times a day? Matt did not have an answer for that, so he thought something just didn't seem right, so he asked Amy about the calls and asked her if there was anything going on between them, and she told him "NO".
WWE wrestlers sometimes ride together, Matt told me that Edge asked if he could ride with Amy and she told him yes, understand this, that before all this happened, Matt, Amy and Edge were great friends. Edge began having feelings for Amy and started making advances, and soon Amy gave into the advances. Matt also questioned Edge on the situation betweem him and Amy, and Edge told Matt that there was nothing going on between them. Matt still wasn't sure and had a feeling something was not right, although everything was still great and normal at home. Matt told me that he thought a "higher power" had something to do with the two accidents, the one in Charlotte was a warning for Amy to get her head clear. Matt even thinks the reason she hurt her knee in Puerto Rico, was to send her home, to let her get her mind back on their relationship. Matt stated "Carma has a weird way of working"
Around Mid Febuary Matt told me that this is when all hell broke loose over this situation, Matt told me that he had intercepted messages on a phone Amy had been hiding from him, where Edge and Amy had been talking, and it wasn't about wrestling. Matt told me he asked Amy about this again and she told him that there was in fact something going on, but she told Matt that even though she loved him(Matt) she could not stop thinking about Edge. Matt could not take the lies anymore and asked Amy to leave.
So Matt and Amy are in fact not together any longer due to lies, mistrust and from Amy and Edge having a relationship behind Matt's back. Matt did asked Amy to stop it, but she did not, As far as hearing both sides of the story, Matt doesn't think you are gonna hear from Amy because she doesn't have anything to say.
Matt and Amy had a 6 year relationship together, she talks of Matt in her book, you could see in Matt's eyes he loves her, Matt has been hurt and betrayed by who he thought was his soul mate, and one of his best friends.
Yea we tend to get a little out of line when backed into a corner, say some things that hurt, but guess what, Matt Hardy, WWE superstar is still a human being with feelings and emotions. When your heart is taken out of your chest and thrown in the dirt and then stomped on, you tend to have a bad taste in your mouth about things, but you can be assured of one thing, there is only one version.... and that is Matt Hardy

Just like you DC, I too have had this happen to me with my live in girlfriend of 2 years. I definetly know the pain Matt must be going through. A truly unfortunate situation for him.

No that's where you are wrong, you won't understand how he feels because one of his best friend was in it with his girlfriend. Unless you were in his shoes you won't understand. You know the way I see it is like this, Amy Dumas got bored with a relationship. Adam Copeland then making advances to her, she gave in, since this is a whole new rush for her. They fucked each other, they went ahead and did the "Don't Kiss and Tell" thing. But Edge's second wife searched around and find some of the shits. That's how it is going public. Now no matter what, if you are with someone you should know how to NOT be unfaithful to a guy, especially someone this good and nice as Matt Hardy has been to her. For Edge thats's even worst, he betrayed Matt Hardy and unfaithful to his wife. Man I tell you he should've got Eddie Guerrero's gimmick, "Lie, Cheat and Steal" definitely works for him now, when he Lie to Matt Hardy, Cheat on his wife and Steal Lita's heart. Sometimes it is understandable that there are urges on the road, but you don't go and do something like that, hell, if you did not have feelings for the guy in the first place, you wouldn't be on the same ride as him after he made advances to you, not just once, but on many occassions. A woman should know when to distance herself when there is a possibility that she may end up cheating and hurting someone. Well Amy Dumas played a dumb move. I first thought it was Randy Orton that did this, but hey I guess he thinks Lita is ugly just like I do. DC |

Yea, this isn';t cool on Lita or Edge's part, I used to have a lot of respect for Lita, but now Im not so sure what to think of her. Edge IMHO can go f**k himself, I hate him. There was a point where I thought he totally reeked or awesomeness, but now I despise him. I have a new found respect for Matt Hardy, as far as I know, he has taken this very well. If this happened to me, then I know I wouldn't keep my cool at all and would probably have beat the piss outta both of em, because when it comes to fighting, Nick Nitro does not discriminate, male female, age, race, you pull some shit like that, I would fight to the death. I dont know, I just think its a sorry thing to do to someone you love, go out and bang your significant other's buddy. But, whatever. We might not even know the whole story. And on that note, I am going to quote Shane Helms from his latest online commentary... "Loyalty is an invaluable commodity, that once spent, can never be replaced."

For everyone thats saying "DIE EDGE, EDGE IS A PRICK, EDGE SUCKS"...Lita is just as much at fault as Edge. Same vica versa as well. If you lost respect for one, you mind as well throw it out the door for the other. It takes two to tango, and both Lita and Edge are f**k**g idiots.
However, the difference is Edge is actually entertaining. I don't care what he does outside of the ring, he can eat babies for all I care. He entertains me on the TV every week, and thats what he's there to do.

as much as they are both at fault i think edge is more to blame first he is married, second he is supposed to be one of Matts good friends, and last when i said he should punch Edge its not like he can slap lita around so take it out on the man.
they both suck i hope this kills edges push because he really isnt that good and hopefully Benoit or Christian can get a title push
