As mentioned before, New Jack was backstage at RAW on Monday. Jack was asked to do a five-minute chain-wrestling spot with Val Venis, but he only worked for about a minute. He didn’t return to the ring, but was present backstage and was quite friendly with the crew. Sources say that New Jack had pitched an idea to WWE about him being the one who “stabbed” John Cena a few months ago.
WWE.com has backstage footage of a brawl between Shawn Michaels and Edge, which didn’t air on RAW Monday.
Hulk Hogan was backstage at the SmackDown! tapings in Orlando, Florida last night. Hogan lives in the Tampa area so it wasn't to much of a drive.
We are not sure if he was there to speak with Vince McMahon about WrestleMania 21 or if he was just visiting friends.
Sources close to the situation tell us that Hogan and WWE officials were expected to meet and had been talking the last few weeks.
As noted before on the site, WWE approached Super Crazy about possibly coming to WWE. Paul Heyman made the initial suggestion while he was a part of the creative team. Heyman told Vince that they should bring him in, align him with the Big Show, and have him win the Cruiserweight title. We are told Crazy injured his hand several weeks ago and doesn't want to come to WWE until he's at 100% so he can make a good impression. From what we have heard, WWE still wants to bring him in.
Rob Van Dam has been working with a sore knee for the last several months and re-aggravated it over the weekend. It has now gotten to the point where he is getting it checked out and may need surgery. Rob has been known to work through injuries without telling anyone.
Daniel Puder is being sent to OVW for further training and should arrive next week. Al Snow may also be headed to OVW to help further train the guys there. There is talk that he would give up his announcing duties so he wouldn't have to travel back and forth to CT on a weekly basis.
Bill Behrens of NWA Wildslide was unable to come to terms with World Wrestling Entertainment after a meeting last Wednesday. The two were unable to reach an agreement when Behrens was told he would need to give up his Wildslide promotion so that he could further help WWE's developmental system. Of course, the two could always restart negotiations. We'll have to wait and see.
The Dudley Boyz were backstage at the SmackDown! tapings last night.
Daniel Rodimar (who the company at first wanted to win Tough Enough) was at the show as well.
The Undertaker-Heidenreich feud is expected to end at the Royal Rumble.
Hulk Hogan was spotted talking with Shane McMahon backstage at the SmackDown! tapings. Shane attends most WWE PPV's and the RAW & SmackDown! shows following it.
Lita is scheduled for reconstructive knee surgery tomorrow by Dr. James Andrews. We're told she will miss about eight months.
