Fox News 8 in Cleveland (Fox8cleveland.com) reported the Carmella trial verdict at the end of their 6:00 newscast.
Carmella has been found not guilty of the assault. However, she has been found guilty of violating a protective order. Her accuser, Kristin Hine, filed the order against Carmella aftre she filed the charges. Cleveland Fox 8 reporter said, "Carmella apparently didn't leave the club fast enough," so she was found in violation of the order. (Not the same club where the assualt allegedly took place. No word yet on sentencing. (Thanks to TJ for his help on that)
We have late breaking news now that she has been placed on a one year probation, must pay a $150 fine, and serve 24 hours of community service.
Florida indy workers Amy Love, Antonio Blanks, Ron Niemi, Adam Windsor, and Bruce Stern were all backstage at the SmackDown! tapings in Tampa, FL and were looked at by management before doors opened in the afternoon.
Ring of Honor regular Roderick Strong was said to have really impressed management at the SmackDown! tapings during the Kurt Angle challenge. The crowd was also said to have been into Roderick's work during the actual match.
Former WWE higher-up Pat Patterson was backstage at the SmackDown! tapings in Tampa this past Tuesday night. With the Royal Rumble (a match he created) right around the corner, many found the timing of his appearance a little odd. Pat also took part in the pre-show production meeting before the show. We're not sure at this time whether he will be lending a hand on the booking of the Rumble match.
Dory Funk Jr., Bryan Adams, Mideon, and The Cuban Assasin Fidel Sierra were also backstage at the tapings.
Former ECW star New Jack was not backstage at the taping.
Yesterday there was a story posted about a backstage incident that took place between Ric Flair and IWA Puerto Rico promoter Victor Quinones at the New Years Revolution PPV on Sunday.
We're told that while there was a heated discussion between the two, there was no point where the two were screaming and shouting in each others face. People have said it was a situation where Flair strongly made his points in a stated manner while Quinones tried to back away to calm things down.
Flair was upset over treatment of his son David while he was working for Quinones.
In Demand Cable is listing for WWE Smackdown's "NO WAY OUT" PPV main event: "BIG SHOW vs. JBL" in a "Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match" for the February Pay-per-view.
Muhammad Hassan and Khosrow Daivari have finally been added to the Raw superstars page. However, Simon Dean has still not yet been added despite the fact that he has been on television for a while now, longer than Hassan and Daivari.
Chris Jericho stated the following on the Between the Ropes radio show last night: "Goldberg got what he deserved. He's a loudmouth and....whatever. God bless him and best of luck to him. It's funny because the last thing he said was...someone had asked him about me and he said me and Jericho never saw eye to forehead. I was thinking to myself you saw forehead to the ground when a had you in a front facelock crushing you and crushing your windpipe in the middle of the arena in front of all the boys."
