The general feeling in the back was that Vince's going down to ringside was adlibbed, since his music never played and the workers in the match weren't aware that he was going to be coming out at the end. We're told Vince most likely came out due to the show running very long and wanted to get the finish of the match out before they ran out of time. It's worth noting that the extra time cost WWE money as they expect the PPV's to end with at least ten minutes to spare.
Vince McMahon made it to the back on his own power as he took only a few steps at a time. Once he got to the back, he was placed on a gurney and attended to by the medical personnel.
As noted last night, there are plans for Randy Orton to undergo some character changes. Orton and WWE management both know that his character has soured in the last few months and is in need of something different. Many believe the concussion angle last night may have been the beginning of that. For those curious, original plans called for Orton to win the Rumble and then face Triple H at 'Mania. They rushed the Orton angle though and all those plans were scrapped.
As we've been reporting, both Randy Orton and Paul London were not injured last night at the PPV. Both were worked storyline angles.
There were several workers who were said to be surprised by Kurt Angle's short stay in the Rumble match. Angle has been working hurt as of late and they likely booked him in the match for a short period of time because of that.
Several people backstage at the PPV have said the mood was very 'tense' and got even more sour after Vince McMahon's injury. We know that there are not a lot of happy people this week due to the very intense travel schedule. We're also told there was "some comparing of notes" among some of the workers of both RAW and SmackDown! that dealt with morale and money. The basic gist of the story is that some of the guys are being paid on the low end of their contracts and with the upcoming schedule, it doesn't make those people very happy.

Those living in North Georgia with Adelphia cable didn’t get to see the Royal Rumble last night. Something was wrong with the signal, so it stayed black the entire night. There was a 20 to 30 minute hold time to talk to customer service and the only response we ever got was, “we’re working on it”.
