The current plan for Wrestlemania is Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit vs. Hassan and Divari. There had been talk of putting Benoit with Chris Masters for a feud but it looks as if they may hold this off until after 'Mania.
The WWE Royal Rumble DVD will be released next Tuesday.
WWE Shopzone has several new items in stock including a replica of Cena's spinning US title belt for $299.99 and a new Randy Orton T-Shirt.
The WWE's book Are We There Yet ? has not sold to well. It currently ranks number 1,233 in book sales on Amazon and has yet to crack the New York Times Best Sellers list. The only thing that can be said is that the WWE has failed to hype the book once on Television.
Jim Ross was at the No Way Out PPV on Sunday helping out with backstage duties. With Triple H working the house show, that left Stephanie McMahon in charge of the PPV. Ross helped with production and also was on the other end of the head set for Cole and Tazz at the announce booth
There is still a chance that The Rock will appear at WrestleMania although it's not likely right now. As we've noted time and time again, The Rock's contract expired last year and attempts to renew it failed. Rock and WWE are expected to continue talking and an agreement will likely be reached at some point. There is no real heat between Rock and Vince and it is clear that Rock still wants to be a part of wrestling in some way, shape, fr form.'
Those close to the situation say Vince McMahon is really a mess right now. We've noted before that he is confined to a wheelchair and has trouble getting dressed in the morning. The talk is that he'll miss at least two months, possibly four. McMahon has always been known to try to look his best in front of the boys and is always working out. That is something he is obviously unable to do at the current time. Vince is also not one to ever show his pain in front of anyone other than family. Shane McMahon was the one who escorted him from the arena after the Royal Rumble while everyone else was pushed aside. The second quad tear occurred when Vince tried to put all his weight on his good leg to lessen the pain of the first quad tear. That resulted in the second qaud tear upon getting backstage. It's not confirmed that he'll be at 'Mania and many don't feel he'll show up until he is physically fit and in good condition. He has always been very high on what he looks like in front of the guys. We'll keep you posted.
Frankie Kazarian is in Philadelphia, PA and will be at tonight's SmackDown! tapings. We're told Kazarian was booked for both nights of TV this week but flight issues prevented him from arriving in time for Raw in State College, PA. We don't believe he'll be on TV, but rather in a dark match so management can take a look at him. He's definitely in Philly right now.
Former WCW Hardcore champion Big Vito had a dark match last night in State College, PA, defeating Kevin Matthews.
Team Blondage, Amber O'Neale and Kristy Vaine will be looked at tonight in a dark match by WWE management.
We're told to look for Ring of Honor champion Austin Aries at tonight's SmackDown! tapings as well. He is scheduled to be there and will be looked at by management. He may actually be booked on camera in a security type role.
