WWE announced the results for their third quarter today. Mainly due to an extra PPV (New Year's Revolution) and increased internet advertising, WWE was able to report a higher profit this year compared to the same quarter last year. Here are the main numbers:
- Revenue was $82.7 million compared to $79.1 million last year.
- Operating income was $12.4 million compared to $12.1 million last year.
- Net income was $10.9 million compared to $8.8 million last year.
- Live event revenue was $11.3 million, down from $11.8 million last year.
- Average live event attendance was 4000, down from 4100 last year.
- Television advertising revenue was $10.8 million, down from $11.5 million last year.
- Merchandise revenue was $4.4 million, up from $4.3 million last year.
- Internet advertising revenue was $2.1 million, up from $1.2 million last year.
