Thanks to Louise Fancey, Joanie Laurer's Personal Publicist for sending this huge update regarding Joanie Chyna Doll Laurer:
JOANIE CHYNA DOLL LAURER - PRESS STATEMENT May 17th 2005
Former wrestling sensation Chyna, also known as Joanie Laurer, has said 'enough is enough'!
Having survived some difficult personal challenges recently she decided to re-evaluate her life and has motivated herself onto a new path. With a very strong resolve now in place she has made positive creative changes in her professional life and has taken time out to refocus her personal ambitions. We can officially confirm that she has not been in rehab as some have speculated.
"I felt my life spinning out of control and was losing sight of where I was headed after leaving the WWF. I took some time out to reevaluate and have not, as some have speculated been in rehab. I've always tried to stand my ground and believed that a woman can combine beauty, strength and power but there are always consequences to standing up for what you believe. But I do have the determination to start a fresh and I'm looking forward to the future. "
She is appearing on May 29th in VH1's "Surrel Life Reunion Show" which focuses heavily on her transformation and the difficult times she has faced over the past few years. She has been a victim of domestic violence and faced some very real challenges since being asked to leave the WWE. She is positive about the future and currently considering several film and TV projects she has been offered.
