NYWC CHAMPIONSHIP
Mike Mondo vs Joey Matthews (c)
After battling his way through former NYWC Champion Grim Reefer and international standout Quiet Storm, Mike Mondo is now going to face his toughest challenge of his career... an NYWC Championship bout against Joey Matthews! Matthews is clearly one of the most skilled competitors to ever set foot in an NYWC ring, but Mondo is a former champ with an illustrious record and an extremely short fuse. Which one of these powerhouses will emerge victorious? Find out on March 26!
NYWC INTERSTATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Matt Striker vs Joey Braggiol (c)
Only days after making his WWE Smackdown debut in a losing effort against the great Kurt Angle, Matt Striker entered himself into a spectacular 4-way contest that resulted in an Interstate title shot against the reigning champ, Joey Braggiol! Striker has tasted NYWC gold before, and it may be just a matter of time before he gets his hands on another belt, but Braggiol is riding a wave of success that seems like it simply cannot be stopped!
REINSTATEMENT MATCH
Mikey Whipwreck vs Ru Starr
It wasn't long ago when Ru Starr was banished from the NYWC by commissioner Mikey Whipwreck, and on February 26, Starr got his a small measure of revenge with the help of Crusher Doogan and Raven. But the beating he laid on Whipwreck that night only whet Starr's appetite... he wants to get back to business, back in the ring here in the NYWC. Of course, to do that, he must go through the commish. Now, Ru will take on Whipwreck in the squared circle with former NYWC commissioner Curse as the special guest referee. If Ru Starr can defeat Whipwreck, he will be reinstated with no questions asked, but Mikey plans on keeping "The Professional" out of the NYWC for good!
LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH
Tyler Payne vs Wayne
After his shocking betrayal of his tag team partner, Tyler Payne has put forth a challenge that may not bode well for everyone's favorite pudgy hero, Wayne. On March 26, Payne and Wayne will face off, one-on-one, in a Loser Leaves Town match. The odds are certainly stacked against Wayne... Tyler Payne is a multi-time NYWC Champion, Interstate Champion and Tag Team Champion, and he maintains a vigorous conditioning program 365 days a year. Wayne, however, has become one of the most popular personalities in the NYWC, and his courage in the ring cannot be denied. It will certainly be a showdown to remember when these former partners compete for their careers!
Dead Presidents vs Upper Class Rednex
Last month, the Dead Presidents and the Upper Class Rednex threw down in an impromptu match following the Payne/Wayne incident, and brawled deep into the recesses of the Deer Park Community Center. Now, each team wants to take the fight back into the ring where it belongs! The Dead Presidents are a team on the move following their role in the Psycho Circus, but Southern Vinny Stylin' and Nick Noshus are looking to ascend the ladder as well. Expect an extremely physical matchup here, as these hungry teams compete for nothing but pride and respect!
Brett Matthews & Brian Myers vs Dickie Rodz & Mason Raige
Less than two months ago, Brett Matthews and Brian Myers were part of The RatPak, a group of clueless lackeys who seemingly could do no right. But in February, things turned around drastically for Matthews and Myers, who found themselves fighting alongside Tommy Dreamer and the legendary Mick Foley! Clearly, these two are on the road to stardom here in the NYWC, but first they will have to overcome some major hurdles. First and foremost, Dickie Rodz and Mason Raige, the current NYWC Tag Team Champions. In this non-title matchup, Matthews and Myers will be in for a rough ride, but if they can pull through, they will earn a large measure of respect and admiration from the rest of the roster. Can Myers and Matthews make an impact, or will the champs shut them down before they can even get rolling?
