GRUDGE MATCH MAIN EVENT
Mikey Whipwreck vs Raven
Only a few months ago, Raven showed up out of the blue at NYWC Rampage and attacked Mikey Whipwreck, leaving him at the mercy of Crusher Doogan and company. While nobody knows why Raven appeared or why he would go after one of his fellow ECW alumni, one thing is for certain... Whipwreck isn't going to take the attack lying down. Soon after the assault, Mikey challenged Raven to a one-on-one match that will take place on June 4 in Lindenhurst, NY. Raven quickly confirmed his desire to dish out additional punishment to Whipwreck, and thus the match was set. Now, these two legends with hardcore backgrounds will face uncertain futures as they battle for pride, glory and the other man's blood.
NYWC CHAMPIONSHIP
Mike Mondo vs Matt Striker (c)
Two months ago, Matt Striker became the NYWC Champion only after competing in a vicious tournament that left him bloody, bruised, and eventually, draped in gold. Striker had the match of his career when he defeated Mike Mondo to win the NYWC Championship, but when he turned his back on Mondo and the fans following the match, he essentially painted a big bull's-eye on his back. Mondo, furious and seeking revenge, will try to take what what he believes is rightfully his, as these two go head-to-head for the big title one more time.
NYWC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
Brett Matthews & Brian Myers vs Dickie Rodz & Mason Raige (c)
In May, Brett Matthews and Brian Myers were effectively robbed of the NYWC Tag Team Championships when Raige and Rodz were disqualified for attacking the referee, a situation in which titles do not change hands. On June 4, Matthews and Myers are going to take on the champs one more time to determine who truly is the better team. Can Mason Raige and Dickie Rodz hold on to their titles, which have sat comfortably around their waists for months, or will Matthews and Myers finally make the leap to the top of the tag team division?
James Newblood vs Joel Maximo
Javi-Air vs Jose Maximo
In recent months, the tag teams of Aerial Assault and the S.A.T.s have been involved in some seriously impressive bouts. In March, Newblood and Javi-Air picked up their very first victory in the NYWC over Joel and Jose Maximo, and since then, their feud has only intensified. Last month, the two teams competed in an amazing best 2-out-of-3 falls match that the S.A.T.s won with a violent (and unseen) chairshot. Now, with one victory each between the two teams, the individual members will split up and attempt to settle this rivalry once and for all. James Newblood will face off against Joel Maximo, while Javi-Air will take on Jose. Both matches are sure to be intense!
