just got this off of the ROH message board
it seems like AJ Styles will not be at Final Battle this weekend to face Colt Cabana AJ suffered a split lip at the Hands of Samoa Joe which required 7 stitches
sounds kinda dumb to me its stitches its not a fractured skull

Well it hasn't even been a week since he got them and from my experiences with stitches(had them in the face 3x and 5x total) doctors usually wait atleast a week to check it out before considering taking them out and I don't blame him for not wanting to wrestle with them in cuz having them get ripped out and the cut reopened wouldn't be fun.

--Vince Russo's Ring of Glory drew about 700 last night in Rome, GA: David Young b Elix Skipper, D-Lo Brown & Glenn Gilberti b Erik Watts & Mike Sanders, Sean Waltman b Kevin Northcutt, Matt Hyson b Mark Jindrak, Rain b Jazz, Jimmy Rave wno stairway to heaven four-way over Air Paris, Sal Rinauro and C.J. Summers, A.J. Styles (this is going to get some ROH fans since he said he was injured and couldn't work this weekend) b Abyss (Styles lip did bust open again and Abyss's arm bled again), B.G. James b Jeff Jarrett in a non-title match. Scott Hudson worked as announcer. Terry Taylor worked backstage. Percy Pringle played heel manager all night long. Lex Luger, Ron Killings, Tracy Brooks, Chris Harris, Sonny Siaki, Jerry Lynn and Brad Armstrong were all no-shows. Ron Simmons was honored at the show for his contributions to football and wrestling (thanks to Shane Noles and Jason Hawkins)

i just saw that ^^ it seems like it was a religous fed and AJ is a christian(even though he likes to call people faggots) so maybe it is a religous thing for him to wrestle for Russo
